What does it mean to be holy?
The word translated “holy” means sacred, morally blameless, consecrated, saint…
It requires a sacrificing of your life, your will to Him and allowing the Holy Spirit to separate and set you apart for God and His purposes…
It is not just calling yourself a Christian that makes you holy. No.
Ephesians 1:4 “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.”.
2 Timothy 1:9 “He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.” .
It is the relinquishing of your will, your (fleshly)desires, and pride so that Christ may be the center of your life.
Remember Christ is coming back for a church, a people without spot and wrinkle, being blameless and holy in Him…
Ephesians 5:27 “so that he could give her to himself as a glorious Church without a single spot or wrinkle or any other blemish, being holy and without a single fault.”
It means allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and direct every action you take, every word you make…be completely His…in love
Hebrews 12:14 “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:”
No one will see the Lord in you if you don’t love Him and allow His Holy Spirit to come in you to help you, if you don’t then you are disobedient children ..
Hebrews 4:6 “Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience”
1 John 3:7 “Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous.”
Lord I repent of my sins and ask You to help me by Your grace to walk in holiness and righteousness just as You are holy and righteous in everything, so Christ may be glorified in me…Amen!
