What does it mean to be holy?
The word translated “holy” means sacred, morally blameless, consecrated, saint…
It requires a giving up of your life to Him and allowing the Holy Spirit to separate and set apart your life for God and His purposes…
It is not just calling yourself a Christian that makes you holy. No.
“For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.” (Ephesians 1:4).
“He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.” (2 Timothy 1:9).
It is the relinquishing of your will, your desires(fleshly), pride so that Christ may be the center of your life.
Remember Christ is coming back for a church, a people without spot and wrinkle, being blameless and holy in Him…
27 so that he could give her to himself as a glorious Church without a single spot or wrinkle or any other blemish, being holy and without a single fault.
It means allowing the Holy Spirit to guide and direct every action you take, every word you make…be completely His…in love
No one will see the Lord in you if you don’t love Him and allow His Holy Spirit to come in you to help you, if you don’t then you are illegitimate children ..
7 Let God train you, for he is doing what any loving father does for his children. Whoever heard of a son who was never corrected? 8 If God doesn’t punish you when you need it, as other fathers punish their sons, then it means that you aren’t really God’s son at all—that you don’t really belong in his family. 9 Since we respect our fathers here on earth, though they punish us, should we not all the more cheerfully submit to God’s training so that we can begin really to live?
Lord help me to follow Your Holy Spirit and to be holy as You are holy in everything I do and say, so Christ may be seen in me…Amen!
